After I graduated from high school, I moved to Birmingham, to study collaborative special education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.  In 2005, I received my Bachelor's degree and began teaching kids ages kindergarten through fifth grade in Hoover, AL.  I realized that I loved working with young children, so I decided to go back to school for early childhood special education. In 2009, I finished my Master's degree, and began teaching in the preschool setting.

In 2005, I began teaching elementary students with special needs in an inclusive setting in Hoover, AL.  I truly enjoyed working with children kindergarten through 5th grade, but I really wanted to teach younger children.  After earning my Master's degree, I moved to Madison, and began teaching preschool at Mill Creek in 2011.  It has been a great 11 years so far, and I'm looking forward to many more!
