I began my teaching career in 2010 at Mill Creek Elementary School in Madison, Alabama as a Developmental Kindergarten and First grade Special Education Teacher. In addition to teaching during the regular school year, I also work during the summer in the Madison City Schools summer program. I also sponsor the Mill Creek Elementary Drama Club aka The Maverick Masqueraders. I absolutely love what I do and the children that I meet!

I was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and moved to Huntsville when I was three years old. I'm not a military child; I was just lucky! I attended Huntsville City Schools for all grades except for 7th and 8th. During those years I lived in Taipei, Taiwan where I had some wonderful experiences.
I met my husband in 1998 and we were married in 2010. In October of 2012, our daughter Emma was born. We are so in love with her!! I love to paint and have quite a few pieces in my house. Reading and going out on our boat are some of my favorite things to do!!
