I attended Madison Middle School and Bob Johnes High School. I attended the University of Alabama and received my bachelors degree from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. I am certified in both general education and special education.

I began my teaching career in 2001 at Rainbow Elementary School teaching a self contained and resource math special education class.  From 2004-2006 I taught 5th and 3rd grade at Heritage Elementary School.  From 2007 to 2010 I held a teaching position in the developmental pre-kindergarten program for Madison City Schools. In 2011 I accepted a resource position, teaching 3rd to 6th grade Special Education students.

I have three wonderful children.  As a family we enjoy running, playing sports, and boating. I love spending time in community with my church Summit Crossing. In my spare time I enjoy reading, gardening, and spending as much time with my family as possible.
