Montgomery, AL – For Alabama’s students, summer is a time of fun, but those months away from school can result in a loss of knowledge and reading ability. To combat summer learning loss, the Alabama Department of Education is excited to announce the Summer Reading Challenge, encouraging students to pledge to read and learn over the summer months. Find a Book links, videos and other resources including printable bookmarks have been posted at www.alsde.edu/summerreadingchallenge to assist parents and teachers in finding books for students to read over the summer months.
